there’s a shortage of investment in it. At Pansy Studios, we believe that LGBTQ+ talent doesn’t need to be discovered - it needs to be nurtured and resourced.

The LGBTQ+ Freelancer Directory is a space to find and support queer talent across industries - from writers to illustrators, strategists to developers. It’s a growing network of freelancers ready to work, collaborate, and create on our terms.

Developed in response to a number of brands and organisations reneging on working with LGBTQ+ talent, we created a platform that helps LGBTQ+ people to survive. Working us with enables clients to hire intentionally, uplift queer and trans people and access world-class talent.

Beyond client matching, the directory fosters community through features in zines and showcases, access to mentoring opportunities, and regular newsletters sharing paid work and updates. Its mission is to champion queer creativity, increase visibility, and build a fairer, values-driven freelance ecosystem.

We’ve seen what happens when LGBTQ+ people are left out of the room. This directory is about making sure we’re not just in the room - we’re shaping it.
