“Working with Pansy Studios has changed my life in all the best ways.”

  • Rachelle Cox is a multi-hyphenate creative — journalist, actor, model, photographer, and presenter — with work featured in Vogue Italia, BRICKS, and i-D, plus campaigns with Lazy Oaf and 3INA. They’ve even interviewed pop icon Chappell Roan!

But despite the calibre of their work, Rachelle didn’t have a website.

    That meant:

    • Their online presence didn’t reflect the full breadth of what they do

    • Brands, editors, and collaborators struggled to contact them

    • Opportunities were being missed

    • The idea of building a website felt overwhelming and inaccessible

The work was there. The platform wasn’t.

the challenge

The core challenge wasn’t a lack of talent or experience - it was structure, clarity, and capacity.

Rachelle needed:

  • A clear way to present multiple disciplines without confusion

  • An online presence that matched their bold, unapologetic identity

  • A simple way for brands, editors, and collaborators to get in touch

  • A solution that felt accessible and manageable, not overwhelming

Any approach had to centre confidence, accessibility, and ease not add another thing to maintain.

the results

A person with orange curly hair, wearing a pink and white striped off-shoulder shirt with ruffled straps, a pink and white striped choker, and a red tartan skirt, standing against a plain background.

Pansy Studios designed and built a website that brought clarity and confidence to Rachelle’s digital presence.

We created a clear, thoughtful structure that allowed each part of Rachelle’s practice - acting, modelling, writing, and presenting - to exist side by side without competing. The design was bold and expressive, reflecting Rachelle’s unapologetic, queer, DIY energy, while still feeling professional and credible to industry audiences.

The copy was written to communicate confidence without bravado, clearly articulating who Rachelle is, what they do, and how they work. Accessibility was central throughout, ensuring the site was easy to navigate, read, and update.

Crucially, the site was built using simple, flexible tools so Rachelle could manage and update it themselves - giving them autonomy, not dependence.

Ellen’s vast, in-depth knowledge and understanding of accessibility makes for the most efficient, inclusive, and outstanding collaborative experience. Her ability to simplify the complicated and make overwhelming tasks feel manageable is one of her many wonderful qualities. She has helped me in ways I didn’t even know I needed.
