Rare with Google was a globally recognised leadership accelerator that supported under-represented creatives to unlock their full potential.
With over 1,000 alumni across the world, Rare delivers impactful, values-led training through a combination of in-person and virtual formats. Programmes have been hosted at major industry events like Semi-Permanent, D&AD Festival, and Adcolor, as well as through an immersive six-week online experience that blends live tutoring, curated speaker sessions, and actionable toolkits.
Ellen Jones, founder of Pansy Studios, worked as both a co-developer and facilitator of Rare’s Leadership Academy. In this role, she worked collaboratively with the Rare team to evolve the curriculum and ensure it reflected the realities and aspirations of creatives from historically marginalised backgrounds. Ellen’s contribution focused on embedding psychological safety, identity-led leadership, and trauma-informed strategy into the programme content.
This collaboration stands as a powerful example of how values-driven partnerships can shape industry change. By helping redefine what leadership looks and feels like for under-represented creatives, Ellen’s work with Rare continues to ripple outward, supporting a new generation of talent to lead with authenticity and purpose.
