Giphy
Pansy Studios was commissioned by GIPHY to design an original animated sticker pack for Autism Awareness Month, with a brief centred on authenticity, joy, and genuine representation.
Led by our founder Ellen Jones, the project was rooted in lived experience and community-informed design. Rather than relying on tired awareness tropes, the stickers were developed to feel affirming, playful, and emotionally resonant- reflecting how autistic people actually communicate, celebrate, and connect online.
The final pack launched globally on GIPHY and quickly gained traction across social platforms, messaging apps, and stories- embedding disabled-led design directly into everyday digital culture.
This collaboration reached over 2 billion views worldwide and showed how centring lived experience doesn’t narrow audiences - it deepens connection, expands reach, and shapes more meaningful digital spaces.
2 billion views worldwide and continuing to grow years later…
Organically, the work began being used by influencers across the world, including Raising Kevin, winner of a TikTok creator award.
