Marketing Mentorship

Ellen in your corner for six or twelve weeks, so your marketing stops being something you’ll get to “next month”.

You’ve probably got more marketing ideas than you know what to do with. A notes app full of them. A launch you keep pushing back. A website you wince at every time you send someone the link.

The problem isn’t that you don’t know enough. It’s that you’re running a business, and marketing keeps falling to the bottom of the list. When you do get to it, you’re never quite sure if you’re doing the right thing.

That’s where Ellen comes in. As a marketer, she’s worked with 100+ organisations, from Google and Sephora to charities and one-person businesses.

With 1:1 marketing mentoring, you get that experience on your side. Together, you’ll work out what actually matters for your business, ditch what doesn’t, and get the important stuff done while Ellen keeps you on track.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You’ve got a list of marketing jobs as long as your arm, and you don’t know which to start with

  • You’re posting, emailing and doing something, but you’ve no idea if any of it is working

  • Your business has grown up, but your marketing still looks like it did three years ago

  • You make a plan, feel great about it, and then real life takes over and nothing happens

  • You’ve wondered more than once if everyone else got a marketing manual you didn’t

You don’t need more ideas. You need an experienced marketing mentor to help you pick the right ones, and someone who’ll ask how it’s going

How marketing mentoring works

Before you start

You’ll fill in a questionnaire about your business, your customers, what you’ve tried and where you’re stuck. Ellen will go through it before your first call, so you can get straight into it.

1:1 sessions

You’ll meet Ellen on video every two weeks. In the first session, you’ll work out your priorities and make a plan together. After that, each session is about looking at what’s happened, fixing what isn’t working and deciding what’s next.

Check-ins

In the weeks you don’t meet, Ellen will check in to see how you’re getting on, answer questions and give you a nudge if things have stalled. It’s a friendly bit of accountability, not a telling-off.

Support in between

Questions don’t wait for your next call. Email Ellen when you need a second opinion, feedback on a draft or help making a decision.

Who is marketing mentoring for?

Marketing mentoring is a good fit if you’re a small business owner, founder or freelancer, and you’re ready to do the work with someone experienced alongside you.

You’ll work well with Ellen if:

  • You want practical marketing advice, not theory

  • You’re happy to try things and see what works

  • You’d like someone to challenge you when you need it

  • You want your marketing to fit around your business, not take it over

You don’t have to love self-promotion. Plenty of brilliant people hate it.

When it’s probably not right…

  • You’ve got one specific problem. It’s Power Hour will sort it for less.

  • You’d rather someone else did the work. The Pansy Studios team can take it on through a retainer.
